ptember is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and my hope is that one day the Gold ribbon will be just as recognized as pink. The Susan Komen foundation has done an outstanding job making the public aware of breast cancer, developing screenings, and ensuring that an early diagnosis is a cure….now lets do the same for our kids! There is no screening test for the numerous childhood cancers all lumped under one small research grant. I want to walk through the grocery stores and see it all Gold/yellow, hear all the radio and tV stations promoting it, and have everyone at work wearing yellow gold. You can help SO MANY families save their child’s life by putting forth the same efforts we do for pink. Ava’s Gift to June, Inc will offer free advertising to any company that goes GOLD this month!!!

Save the date for our annual event which will have a new date and location! September 11, 2016 at Honeysuckle Riding Academy on Rocky River Rd. Kids will be able to ride independently on the herd of safe school horses used in their daily program and teens and adults can TRAIL ride!! LA Acoustics is returning with great music and of course games, arts & crafts, face painting, and the enormous silent auction!
