September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and my hope is that one day the Gold ribbon will be just as recognized as pink. The Susan Komen foundation has done an outstanding job making the public aware of breast cancer, developing screenings, and ensuring that an early diagnosis is a cure….now lets do the same for our kids!

There is no screening test for the numerous childhood cancers all lumped under one small research grant. I want to walk through the grocery stores and see it all Gold/yellow, hear all the radio and tV stations promoting it, and have everyone at work wearing yellow gold.
